With the New York Musical Theatre Festival just three weeks away, Jeff and Hunter scramble to write an original submission. When they can’t come up with anything to write about they turn to their own lives and friends for inspiration. They decide to write a musical about it’s own creation. They end up with a musical about writing a musical about writing a musical and the four friends learn lessons about themselves, their friends and artists.
The No Square Theatre production features Berkeley Clements, Joey Nestra, Kevin King and Stephanie Draude. Joe Lauderdale directs and choreographs and Michael Repper (who also performs) is the musical director.
With music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and a book by Hunter Bell, [title of show] received a Tony nomination in 2009.
