Fourteen-year-old twin brothers, Kyle and Benjamin Sharp, intend to spend Friday night with friends in downtown Laguna Beach. Unlike the typical teen, though, they will hang out with fans at the Hobie Surf Shop, hosting an album release party for their debut EP “Just For You,” at 7 p.m. May 2.
The brothers from Austin, Tex., relocated to Laguna Beach in 2009 and established their act, Sharp Turn Ahead, in 2012. Since then the duo has performed 85 live shows.
With Kyle’s energetic performance on the acoustic guitar and Benjamin’s smooth delivery on the keys, the Thurston Middle School eighth-graders perform acoustic pop originals and covers from contemporary popular artists.Firebrand Media LLC wants comments that advance the discussion, and we need your help to accomplish this mission.
