Richie Nunis hit a two-run homer in the third inning to lift Laguna Beach High School’s baseball squad (26-2) to a 2-0 victory over Alhambra in a CIF Division 4 second round win before an overflow crowd at Skipper Carrillo Field on Tuesday, May 27.

Preston Grand Pre went the distance for the pitching win limiting the Moors to just three hits. Breakers advance to the quarterfinals this Friday against Sonora at a site to be determined.

Laguna boys volleyball swept Rancho Dominguez Prep Tuesday night  25-13, 25-8, 25-11 to advance to the State Division 3 regional semifinals on Thursday at home.

Boys volleyball hosts Bishop Montgomery of Torrance at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Dugger Gym.
