Laguna Beach resident, Cheryl Smith will be running in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials this Saturday, Jan. 14, in Houston.
Her parents, Linda and Leon Smith, from Kirkwood, N.Y., will be there to watch her race, which starts at 8:15 a.m. Central Time. NBC Sports will broadcast the race at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, according to her former University of Hawaii-Manoa coach Tom Peterson, who continues to assist her.
