Jon Madison’s defeat in the City Council election was well earned and well deserved. Given his popularity and name recognition, a City Council seat was his to lose and he succeeded in doing so.
I, as many others, supported him before it was revealed that he never earned the graduate and professional degrees he claimed to have. Those lies cost him the support of thousands of voters in Laguna Beach and made him a loser in the election.
His attempted cover-ups, his continued failure to take responsibility for his actions, and his tired portrayal of himself as a victim make him even a bigger loser.
