Cheryl Russell donated $100 and 10 “StarHeart” books valued at $150 to the R Star Foundation, the non-profit established by Rosalind Russell, who is no relation.
The donation will purchase a goat in Nepal and the books, which inspire children to use their imagination, will be distributed to Nepalese children, said Rosalind Russell, temporarily a Lake Forest resident. Donors to R Star have built a school in Nepal and distributed herds of goats to help raise living standards of rural women.
