DUI. 12:42 a.m. 1100 block S. Coast Hwy. A 51-year-old Nevada resident who was described as staggering to her vehicle was stopped and arrested doe DUI. Bail was set at $2,500.
Tuesday, July 31
DUI 7:11 p.m. Laguna Canyon. The 53-year-old Aliso Viejo driver of an inbound car stopped in the middle of the highway was arrested for DUI. Bail was set at $2,500.
Burglary. 30800 block Coast Hwy. 8:11 p.m. A laptop was stolen from a briefcase in a car that was valet parked.
Friday, Aug. 4
Forgery. 1:33 p.m. 3100 Bonn Dr. Someone forged a $711 check on a woman’s account, which triggered an investigation by San Bernardino authorities.
Fire. 2:14 p.m. 2600 Laguna Canyon Rd. Laguna School of Music. The outbound lane was briefly closed while firefighters knocked down an accidental deck fire.
Lifeguard. Shaw’s Cove. 2:39 p.m. Two Indiana visitors who ignored admonitions by lifeguards were later cited by police for providing phony ID and methamphetamine possession.
Report. 500 block of Glenneyre St. 3:27 p.m. Someone is posting flyers using a Facebook photo that claims he is exposing himself to children.
Grand theft. 600 block of Bluebird Canyon Dr. 3:38 p.m. A resident reported the theft of artwork valued at $5,500.
Saturday, Aug. 4
Disturbance. 1600 block of S. Coast Hwy. 12:35 a.m. David Keirsted, 55, of Fenton, Mich., was arrested for suspicion of felony battery after others in the hotel alerted police to a fight.
Speed race. 1:45 a.m. Coast Hwy. A 21-year-old man was arrested for DUI and held or $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 2:21 a.m. Montage Resort Dr. A 28-year-old man was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic collision. 12-02932. 2:25 a.m. Fifth Ave. Arthur Felix, 39, of Riverside was arrested for suspicion of auto theft, driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence of marijuana. He was driving a vehicle belonging to a customer that ran into a parked car. Both vehicles were totaled. Bail was set at $20,000.
Sunday, Aug. 5
Speed race. 1:09 a.m. After running stop signs and nearly hitting a dumpster, Martin Philip Dirnbach, 44, of Fullerton led police on a 20-mile chase, surrendering at Grand Street in Santa Ana. Dirnbach, who previously pled guilty to multiple battery charges, was charged with evading arrest, driving recklessly. Bail was set at $25,000.
DUI. 12-02944. 1:57 p.m. Coast Hwy. As a result of a vehicle seen swerving, a La Costa resident, 58, was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 1:58 a.m. S. Coast Hwy. A 21-year-old Torrance man was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Stolen vehicle. N. La Senda Dr. 10:11 a.m. A golf cart was stolen and crashed into another home nearby.
Vandalism. 11:36 a.m. 1000 block Cortez. Someone shattered windows overnight causing an estimated $4,700 in damage.
Petty theft. 400 block S. Coast Hwy. 2:41 p.m. Two women stole swimwear valued at $130.
Traffic stop. 10:54 p.m. Anita St. A 30-year-old Louisiana woman was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
