Pedestrian stop. Bluff Drive. 12:41 p.m. Robert Santoro, 58, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of meth possession and held without bail because his act violated parole.
Car theft. 3000 Nestall Rd. 1:25 p.m. A 2014 rental car went missing.
Foot patrol. 3200 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 11:08 p.m. A 24-year-old Mira Loma man was arrested for a DUI warrant and held for $15,000 bail.
Tuesday, July 1
Burglary. 600 block of Short St. 9:54 a.m. Parolee Eric Woodson and an alleged accomplice, Eddie Turner, both 24-year-old Long Beach residents, tried to flee on foot pursuing police, alerted to a burglary in progress by a neighbor who saw them leave a house with jewelry and a computer.
Wednesday, July 2
Burglary. 100 block of Irvine Cove Place. 8:52 a.m. A $7,000 Cartier watch went missing following a Tuesday party.
Grand theft. 3200 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 2 p.m. A $2,000 laptop was stolen during a broker open house.
Vehicle burglary. Circle Way. 4:30 p.m. A thief broke a passenger window and stole a purse and medication from a car parked at Crescent Bay.
Fight. Fifth Ave. 6:31 p.m. No one was charged in the aftermath of a fight among six to eight men, who provided conflicting statements about what happened. Two minors were detained and released to their parents.
Drunk driving. Ninth Ave. 9:29 p.m. A 63-year-old Laguna Beach woman was cited for driving under the influence of drugs and held for $2500 bail.
Citizen contact. 200 block of Arch St. A woman claims she was assaulted while sleeping because she awoke with bruises on her body.
Petty theft. 100 block of N. Coast Hwy. 11:34 p.m. Patrick Taylor Busch, 28, of Riverside, who allegedly stole two drinks, was arrested for two outstanding warrants.
Friday, July 4
Traffic collision. West St. 4:49 p.m. A driver suffered head and neck pain following rear-end collisions involving three vehicles.
Rescue. 5:09 p.m. Two hikers are extracted by helicopter from the Mathis Trail in the Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness Park.
Lifeguard rescue. Crescent Bay South. 6:58 p.m. A swimmer fled from Harbor Patrol in Emerald Bay.
Disorderly person. 400 block of Panorama Dr. A 50-year-old man who refused to leave was arrested DUI and held for bail of $2500.
DUI. Boat Canyon Dr. 10 p.m. A 21-year-old Montebello man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Saturday, July 5
Traffic stop. 31100 block of Coast Hwy. 11:35 a.m. Police seized two trashbags of fireworks and cited a 24-year-old Rosamond woman.
Traffic stop.. 300 block of El Paseo. 1:21 p.m. Ariel Leenyn Herrera, 26, of Orange, was arrested for suspicion of felony DUI after driving up onto the cobblestones of Main Beach with his 8-year-old nephew in the car. Bail was set at $100,000.
Mudslide. 700 block of Cress St. 1:38 p.m. A neighbor’s hillside gave way.
Suspicious circs. 1300 block of Skyline Dr. 12:33 a.m. A resident who suspected a burglar trying to make entry apparently observed a neighbor checking out wandering raccoons.
Sunday, July 6
Citizen contact. 500 block of Forest Ave. Daryl Grant Murrey, 30, of Torrance, who came to the police station to report an assault, was arrested for two outstanding warrants.
Fireworks. 3200 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 1:54 a.m. About 12 teens from La Habra and Irvine, stopped walking near the park, denied lighting fireworks though police recovered some nearby. No citations were issued.
Medical. Coast Hwy. 10:31 a.m. A swimmer suffered neck and back pain and was evacuated by air ambulance from a South Laguna beach.
Medical. 1700 block of S. Coast Hwy. 8:26 p.m. Kevin Othello Wadkins, 55, of Bonsall, was arrested for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence after he allegedly broke a glass and lacerated the face of an ex-girlfriend. He had observed her socializing at a restaurant. Bail was set at $50,000.
Domestic violence. 1700 block of S. Coast hwy. 11:24 p.m. Omidhossein Khamehseifi, 40, of Laguna Hills, was arrested for suspicion of felony domestic violence and misdemeanor drug possession after slapping his female companion at a restaurant. Bail was set at $50,000.
