Stolen vehicle. 700 block of Summit Dr. 10:59 a.m. A blue Porsche 911 with the plate EQUID7 was stolen from a driveway. The keys were not in the car.

Petty theft. 1500 block of S. Coast hwy. 1:54 p.m. A wallet and cell phone were stolen the day before on the beach.

Burglary. 31300 block of Monterey St. 2:49 p.m. Someone tried to pry open a door in the last month.

Burglary. 400 block of N. Coast Hwy. 9:50 p.m. Guests of a timeshare reported someone made entry and took 20 necklaces and 30 pairs of earrings valued at $511.

Wednesday, Sept. 3

Vandalism. 1100 block of Skyline Dr. 11:25 a.m. A neighbor trimmed trees without permission.

Vandalism. 2900 block of Terry Rd. 4 p.m. Someone cut down a tree while the owners were away, an estimated $2,800 loss.

DUI. State Hwy. 9:41 p.m. A 24-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Thursday, Sept. 4

Burglary. 700 block of Nyes Pl. 8:31 a.m. A homeowner returned to find a door open and jewelry valued at $5,000 missing.  There were no signs of forced entry.

DUI. 600 block of S. Coast Hwy. 12:39 p.m. Greg William Rayes, 55, of Laguna Beach, was cited for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior offense.

Vandalism. 1900 block of Ocean Way. 3 p.m. Vandals cut electrical lines at a home under construction.

Suspicious circs. 31100 block of Ceanothus Dr. Two people were cited for trespassing after a homeowner discovered a couple on the premises that refused to leave when asked.

Friday, Sept. 5

Traffic stop. 14-03064. Laguna Canyon Rd. 1 a.m. Arturo Garcia-Morales, 37, of Fullerton, was arrested for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while unlicensed. A search of the vehicle located a small amount of methamphetamine and two meth pipes.

Traffic stop. 2200 laguna canyon rd. 1:37 a.m. A 49-year-old Irvine woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Traffic stop. Bluebird Canyon. 3 a.m. A 20-year-old from Aliso Viejo was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Petty theft. 600 block of N. Coast hwy. 9 a.m. Sunglasses valued at $575 disappeared.

Petty theft. 600 block of Anita At. 10 a.m. A purse was stolen out of a locked vehicle.

Grand theft. 400 block of Ocean Ave. 11:42 a.m. A suspect stole two leather “Stooges” jackets with a combined value of $3,780.

Petty theft. 200 block of Forest Ave. 1:37 p.m. Evangelina Guerra, 23, who is homeless and from the Bakersfield area, was arrested for suspicion of burglary after officers stopped her and recovered two charms valued at $10 that employees allege she walked out with.

Occupied vehicle. 400 block of S. Coast Hwy. 11:11 p.m. Kale Lewis Gibson, 38, of Costa Mesa, was arrested for suspicion of three drug charges after he was searched and officers allegedly found a small amount of heroin and methamphetamine.

Saturday, Sept. 6

Traffic stop. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 2:17 a.m. A 33-year-old Mission Viejo man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Petty theft. 300 block of Cliff Dr. 6:44 p.m. Surveillance video revealed that someone twice entered a restaurant through a patio door and took tequila valued at $200.

Hit and run. Third St. A 23-year-old from Laguna Beach was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Pedestrian stop. 3200 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 12:35 a.m. Officers came across a group of young people congregating in the Carolyn Wood Knoll area and cited a Costa Mesa teen for possession of alcohol. He went home with an adult.

Traffic stop. Forest Ave. 2 a.m. A 46-year-old Irvine woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Traffic stop. 300 block of forest Ave. 3:58 a.m. Daniel Frank Aranda, 29, of Ontario, was arrested for suspicion of driving on a suspended license and possession a controlled substance without a valid prescription. Bail was set at $20,000.

Grand theft. 300 block of Harold Dr. 1:57 p.m. A homeowner suspects movers in the disappearance of a bag filled with jewelry valued at $35,000.
