Team Walk for Jake, led by team captain and Laguna Beach teen Sam Dameshek, far surpassed its original $2,500 goal and received pledges of $4,835 for the Autism Speaks fundraiser that took place this past Saturday, Oct. 13.
Sixteen Walk for Jake team members participated in the race.
But Sam isn’t done yet. He’s set a new year-end goal of $10,000 and thanks the community of Laguna for its generous donations. Contributions are still welcome at walknowforautismspeaks.org; enter his name, Sam Dameshek, in field “search for walker.”
