Time for Tarnished Treasures

The Laguna Beach Woman’s Club was founded in 1922. Its mission has always been to benefit the town through philanthropic activities. Money to help fund those activities is raised at the Tarnished Treasures luncheon through donations and attendance at the annual event, set this year for Dec. 11 at the clubhouse. I am pleased to be chairing the event this year. Proceeds will help make the holidays merrier for families in Laguna that need a helping hand.

Tarnished Treasures is also an opportunity to do a little gift shopping as well as enjoying a luncheon catered by Chef Alessandro of Alessa. Popular items include holiday decorations, art jewelry, toys, wearable clothing and household goods.

Tax-deductible donations will be accepted through Dec. 10. Donations may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Kinsman & Kinsman office, 32355 S. Coast Highway.  Donations will also be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays, and from 2 to 5 p.m., Thursdays, at the clubhouse, 286 St. Ann’s Drive, except Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26.

Large items such as sofas, mattresses or furniture cannot be accepted.

Reservations to the luncheon are required by Dec. 6. Admission to the luncheon is $35 for club members and $40 for non-members. Checks may be mailed to the club.

We expect the luncheon to be sold out so we are advising people to make an early reservation. For more information, contact Rebecca at 949-499-8000.
