Costa Mesa swept the Breakers in a double dual meet on Thursday, April 5, at Hulst Oval by taking the boys 81-45 and shocking the girls squad 70-38.

It was the first league dual loss for the Breakers since 2012 snapping a 29 consecutive league dual meet win streak. Breakers did defeat Calvary Chapel 73-37 in boys and 42-35 in girls.  The individual winners were Ella Tyus in the 100 (13.17), Majia Shaw in the 200 (26.4) and Jade Hamilton in the high jump (4-04). On the Boys side, Jet Rocha won the 400 (52.68), Kai Malm the 110 Hurdles (18.92) and Teva Clark in the long jump (19-6 ½) and triple jump (36-1 ½ ). Breakers also won the 4 x 100 relays.

This past weekend, a number of athletes participated in the Arcadia Invitational. Ryan Smithers ran in the boys 3200, Evie Cant in the girls 3200 and the girls team also participated in two relays. Hannah Konkel, Evie Cant, Majia Shaw and Jessie Rose were in the distance medley while Rose, Konkel, Kaitlin Ryan, and Sydney Schaefgen finished 11thin the 4 x 1600 relay.
