Sundried Tomato American Bistro and Catering will close the smallest of its three south-county restaurants, located in Laguna Beach, and refocus on
its San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano locations and a planned increase in catering services.
Earlier in the month, The Beach House also closed its doors.
About 22 mostly part-time employees work at Sundried Tomato in Laguna, which will close at 9 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 27, after 12 years, said managing partner Rob Quest.
Sundried Tomato features California cuisine, an inviting bar, event hosting and catering services. In San Juan, home of the catering operation, the dining spot is located near the Mission and Amtrak station. In San Clemente, an impressive bar with four large screens supplements an elegant dining room, fireplace lounge and patio with Talega hillside views.
