Potter and painter Enid Arias, after two decades residing in Santa Fe, recently retired to Laguna Beach to pursue her art.
Several of her seascapes are on display at Scape Gallery, 2850 E. Coast Highway in Corona del Mar. What makes her paintings especially unusual is the technique: painted not with a brush but with one finger. Arias studied the style with renowned Santa Fe artist Carol Anthony. The impression is controlled brush strokes, but the touch of a fingertip creates the illusion.
