In the book, humanity watches as chaos surrounds the modern world, markets crumble, and society struggles with their unsure future.

Korzep's new book: The Prophet's Alibi

Kaui author Hart Hemmings, who penned “The Descendants,” a recently adapted Oscar winning film, and her father, Fred Hemmings, Hawaii’s first world surfing champion and a retired state senator, visit the area Friday, May 11.


The 6 p.m. reception at Santa Ana’s Bowers Museum is co-sponsored with San Clemente’s Surfing Heritage Foundation. Tickets are $125 for non-members and $100 for members of the museum or foundation. Tickets may be purchased by going to or call 714-567-3677.
