The Boys & Girls Club dedicated their new site in Lang Park earlier this month with a ribbon cutting ceremony that recognized contributors, including the Click family, who helped create the Click Café nutrition center on the premises.

Car dealer Jim Click and his wife, Vicki, sponsored the snack shop at the Boys and Girls Club’s Lang Park facility.

Jessica Barbier of Cox Communications, Chris Loidolt from Hearts of Montage, Howards Alliances, Steve Blue and Leif Hanson were also recognized for their support.

Club leaders presented a plaque to Mayor Bob Whalen and City Manager John Pietig.

“We have had a waiting list at our Bluebird Branch for years,” said Pam Estes, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club. “We know the challenge traffic can be for families living in South Laguna to pick up their children from our other branches, especially in the summer. So we were extremely excited when the city approached us about the Lang Park space and presented the possibility of bridging both of those gaps in services for local kids.”
