Club Votes on its Woman of the Year

Nine worthy women from the community were nominated to be the Laguna Beach Woman’s Club, 2014 Woman of the Year. The 150 club members will cast their votes and the results will be announced shortly.

The nominees are: Vivian Clecak, founder of Human Options; Angela Irish a tireless volunteer in the library and the performing arts; Marion Jacobs, who has donated hours of free counseling services; Cheryl Kinsman, former city council member and planning commissioner and present commissioner of the Laguna Beach County Water district; June Neptune, owner of the Tivoli restaurants which she generously donates as venues for numerous fundraisers; Ellie Ortiz, denizen of the Woman’s Club and Soroptomist  International of Laguna Beach; Verna Rollinger, a former city council member and former city clerk; Gayle Waite, past president and vice president of the Woman’s Club and a Laguna Canyon Conservancy member; and Sandi Werthe, organizer of the Patriot’s Day Parade.
