Daniel Aldon Dugger passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at the age of 59 at his home in Sage, Calif., of a heart attack.
Danny was born Dec. 28, 1953 in Bakersfield. In his lifetime, he touched so many people’s lives with his generous heart, twinkling eyes and warm handshake. Dan graduated from Laguna Beach High School in 1972 playing football and volleyball. He surfed the waves of California and Hawaii and taught his nephews and cousins how to ride the waves as well. Dan was the son of Thomas LaVern Dugger, for whom the Laguna Beach High School Gymnasium is memorialized.
Dan is survived by his mother, Shirley Dugger; sisters Carol, Stacy and Sally Dugger; brother-in-law Tony Lythgoe; nephews Adam and Shane Dugger-Lythgoe; and all the friends that had the good fortune to be a part of his life.
A celebration of Dan Dugger’s life will be held Sunday, March 3, from 12-4 p.m. at the Top of the World home of Stacy Dugger and Tony Lythgoe. For further information, you may contact [email protected].
