Thriller Debuts in Halloween Benefit

“Mirror Image,” filmed in Laguna Beach by local resident and executive producer Joey DePinto, will premiere on Oct. 28 at South Coast Cinema in a benefit for Irvine’s Guard A Heart, a non-profit foundation whose “Know Your Risk, Inspire Life” campaign is dedicated to raising awareness of heart disease.

The thriller and murder mystery based on a screenplay by Chris W. Freeman stars actors April Eden, Ed O’Ross, Eve Mauro, John Aprea, Leslie Easterbrook and features Eric Roberts.

The red carpet Halloween Party at 162 S. Coast Highway begins at 6:30 p.m. Reserve seats here.

 

Tricks, Treats at Democrats’ Headquarters

Guitar playing locals Jason Feddy and Nick Hernandez provide the musical treats on Friday, Oct. 26, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Democratic Club’s Halloween party, 1401 S. Coast Highway.

There is a $10 entry fee and costumes are not required. The club welcomes visitors and supporters with music, fun and spirits.

The only trick is re-imagining the defunct Boom Boom Room.

 

Youth Musical In the Pink

“Pinkalicious: The Musical” opens at The Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre, 606 Laguna Canyon Rd.

The performance runs from Nov. 2 through 11, showing Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays at 1 and 5 p.m. Tickets are $18-$20 at (949) 497-ARTS.
