Outdoor Art Classes in South Laguna
Laguna Outreach for Community Arts is offering nature-themed art classes at two outdoor locations in south Laguna this week.
Watercolors on the Beach will be held at Treasure Island Park on Sunday, May 13, 10-11:30 a.m. A docent from Laguna Ocean Foundation will introduce live anemones, sea stars and other tide pool creatures, and September McGee will lead a watercolor class. A towel and snack is provided, along with a take-home artist kit and canvas tote bag.
Cost is $35 adults, and $20 for children ages 5-up.
Laguna Beach Botanicals will be held at the South Laguna Community Gardens, with a choice of May 17 or 19, 9-10:30 a.m. Ruben Flores of Laguna Nursery will discuss the fruits, vegetables and flowers, and Hedy Buzan will lead a class on drawing with color washes. Cost is $25, for adults ages 16 –up, and parking is free.

SEEDS Arts and Education is partnering with Hortense Miller Garden, Crystal Cove Alliance and local artist Doug Stotts to offer a plein air painting class for kids Saturday, May 12, from 10 am to 1 pm.
It’s a wonderful collaboration and is the first time Hortense Miller Garden, 22511 Allview Terrace, is allowing such a class on their property.
