Transition Laguna’s Food Group Gets the Spotlight

 

The public and Transition Laguna members are invited to the group’s Tuesday, April 3, meeting at the Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Anne’s Dr.

Guest speaker Facundo Malbran of My Botanica landscape design, will be discussing water efficient irrigation systems.

 

The meeting culminates in a vegetarian potluck. Bring a dish or beverage to share, and a reusable table setting.

 

Rotary Hosts Decorated Navy SEAL

 

Rotary Club hosts one of the town’s own sons, a decorated combat veteran and active duty U.S. Navy SEAL, at its April 13 noon meeting at Aliso Creek Inn.

 

The guest, who asked not to be further identified, grew up in Three Arch Bay, played water polo and was a 10-year  lifeguard.

 

His career as a SEAL has taken him around the globe, including multiple combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Philippines.

Garden Club Welcomes a Garden Writer

 

The Laguna Beach Garden Club welcomes garden writer and blogger Aenne Carver at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, at downtown’s Presbyterian Church, Forest and Second streets.
