Editor,
As my email server, Cox Communications is derelict, I receive some emails hours after they were sent. Some arrive promptly; others never arrive. Sending email is equally unreliable. I’m also denied access to my own webmail account most of the time.
When I called Cox to complain, the representative acknowledged the problem and said it would be fixed within 48 hours. That was weeks ago.
If the FCC hears from enough of us, maybe things will improve. To file a complaint:

I’m told that the city of Laguna Beach has an exclusive contract with Cox. If so, is it time to revisit that arrangement?
If Cox is not providing the service they’re billing us for, should there be a partial refund?
