Elections matter and whom we choose to elect as our representatives say a lot about who we are.
Over the last year I have had the pleasure of getting to know each of the candidates for the 48th Congressional District, which is why I endorsed Dr. Hans Keirstead (https://hansforca.com).
Dr. Keirstead will give us the voice we need to fight for a strong economy, for affordable healthcare, and to combat climate change. He believes in crafting policy based on evidence, not on emotion driven by ignorance – like we’ve seen from the incumbent, Dana Rohrabacher, for far too long.
Congressman Rohrabacher says global climate change is “a liberal fabrication to get funding for research and part of a worldwide plan to control our lives.” That’s a profoundly ignorant statement and irresponsible coming from a congressman that represents a district where people whose homes lie in harm’s way. Rohrabacher refuses to act while greenhouse gases affect our health, and despite their link to childhood disabilities like asthma and autism.
Dr. Keirstead understands that we should be creating industry support for clean, renewable energy technologies – not just because it’s necessary for our health, but also because it will create well-paying jobs and keep our economy strong.
Lacking vision and political willpower, incumbent Dana Rohrabacher is unable to do what needs to be done. We deserve better representation than Rohrabacher is capable of providing. We need Dr. Hans Keirstead in the U.S. House of Representatives and we need to vote Rohrabacher out – before it’s too late.
