I refer to your article on our famous ‘L’ on the hill (Jan. 23 edition), but I’d like to add one small postscript. The name of Dave Gibbs, who lived up there.
Dave and I made many trips up and down that mountain until, as a result of radiation and chemo, he got tired easily and had to retire from the struggle. Dave is gone now but I attached a little plaque on the bottom of the ‘L’ with his name on it, so visitors will know, forever, how important he was in keeping that symbol of Laguna alive.
He was a good man and I miss him.
