Get the Ball of Summer Fun Rolling

Champions for Life Tennis and Swim Camp opens its courts to children ages 5 to 13 at Alta Laguna Park, taking place weekly from June 27 through Aug. 15.

The camp includes tennis lessons, activities, lunch, and then a bus trip to the Laguna Beach High School pool. Campers will be supervised at all times and tennis pro Julie Heussenstamm will be serving at camp director.

 For junior tournament players, All Court Tennis is currently registering summer tennis workouts to work on advanced technique, fitness and conditioning, mental toughness, and match strategy. Tournament training will be offered for advanced level players and junior team prep academy for players starting out in team or USTA satellite competition. Morning and evening workouts are also available for ages 18 and up to improve fitness level in an energizing cardio workout with drill practice.

Flagging Youth Football Players

NFL Flag South Orange County league is now registering boys and girls ages 5-14.

Formed to promote a fun, fair, safe and convenient way to play football, NFL Flag Football gives young people the opportunity to join 40 minute league games that take place on Saturdays at St. Mary’s School, 7 Pursuit, Aliso Viejo.

The season runs from Sept. 10-Nov. 29. For $155 per player, registration includes a reversible NFL flag jersey and flag belt, 8 weeks of officiated play, and awards.
