Over 275 competitors from Santa Cruz to Mexico competed in head-high surf at San Onofre’s Church beach for the WSA West Coast Championships May 14-15.
The contest was the final event of the season, with the top seven event finishes contributing to overall season rankings and a possible invite to the Surfing America Prime Series.
The season, which has been plagued by contest cancellations and make-up events, finished with a finale under fair weather.
Surfers from El Morro, Top of the World, Thurston and Laguna Beach High School closed the season with top 10 standings.
