Gallery and Sculptor Debut Pas de Deux

Figurative sculptor Richard MacDonald will be featured in a solo exhibition of recent works at Dawson Cole Fine Art in Laguna Beach, which will host artist receptions Saturday, Nov. 12 from 8 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13 from 12 to 3 p.m. at 326 Glenneyre St.

MacDonald has created a body of new work drawing from both classical and contemporary ballet.

Cove Gallery Hosts Figurative Opening

Cove Gallery artists plan a themed reception.

The artists of Laguna Beach’s Cove Gallery host an artists’ reception, “Figuratively Speaking,” where each artist will show at least one figurative work, on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 4 until 7 p.m.

Figuratively Speaking will feature live music by Dano Forte and a special appearance by noted portraitist Marianne van der Veer who will show off her skills all evening long as she sketches guests in pastels. There will be food and drink and all art-lovers are invited to attend and enjoy.

Art Exhibit and Auction Benefit Haiti’s Children

Artists Roberto Romano and Alex Abercrombie will be auctioning off a variety of their own work Saturday, Nov. 12, from 5-10 p.m. at DeBilzan Gallery, 224 Forest Ave., to raise funds to feed and educate the children of Haiti.

Their efforts will benefit OneDegreeofMe.org.
