Photographer Lucia Ferreira Litowtschenko will have a solo show at the Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art, 611 S. Coast Highway, with receptions from 6-10 p.m. on June 4 and July 2.
Litowtschenko uses photography to build fictional stories. Her work has been exhibited at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Modern Art Museum of Chile, the Verdens Cultural Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the Contemporary Art Space in her native Uruguay.
She also uses her technology and her media expertise as a volunteer instructor at several organizations serving young artists.
Avran Opens New Show
“Perceptions & Patina: Exploring Humanity through the work of Father Bill Moore,” opens Saturday, May 23, with a reception at Avran Art & Design.
The 6-9 p.m. reception takes place at 540 S. Coast Highway.
Plein Air Painters Toast Their New Home
The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association has a reason to celebrate, welcoming visitors to their first official venue with a 5 to 8 p.m. reception Saturday, May 23.
The painting group is now in residence at the Forest and Ocean Gallery, 480 Ocean Ave. Expect champagne and live entertainment.
