Feb. 7 is the deadline for artists considering submitting applications for the Seven Degrees of Inspiration Grant, administered by the Laguna Beach Alliance for the Arts.
The grant is conceived as a way for the winner to expand and diversify his/her audience and to provide an opportunity for advanced learning, said Dora Wexell, executive director of Seven Degrees, a performance venue.
The winner will be announced at the eighth annual Art Star Awards, scheduled for April 6.
The grant is open to creative and interpretive artists in dance, literature, instrumental and vocal music, media arts, theatre and visual arts or a combination thereof. The individual winner of the grant will have 11 months to complete their project and the body of work will premier at the 2015 Art Star Awards.
