The Rotary car show will feature this rare 1931 Cadillac.

A collection of classic cars and motorcycles bring to life the history, engineering ingenuity and art form of automobile design during Laguna Beach Rotary Club’s 9th Annual Classic Car Show, set for Sunday, Oct. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Festival of Arts’ grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Rd.

This annual event features over 150 vehicles in 28 categories each vying for awards including People’s Choice, Mayor’s Award, Best in Class and Best in Show.

Of special note this year, one of only four 1931 Cadillacs in the world will be shown, a prestigious award-winning Model T, and many others that have been passionately restored and maintained.

Kids can clamber over an antique fire engine and visitors can enter a raffle for cash prizes, original art and an overnight stay at the Montage resort. Food and refreshments will be available.

Admission is $10 per person for adults, $3 for children under 12, kids in strollers are admitted free as are active duty military personnel with I.D. All proceeds will go towards charitable and local non-profit organizations.

Local resident Lester Savit and Don Duperon, of Palos Verdes, were awarded second place in the 20th annual Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance Pleasure Road Rallye on Sept. 15.  More than 100 teams participated.
